Barbie knows it's great to have girlfriends! These 3 Bubblecut Barbie friends share dress patterns and hairstyles, but each is definitely her own girl! They are all in Excellent, displayable condition.
These girls have all been played with so they are not for the "Mint" collector, but they have no serious issues like green ears, or neck splits. The Lemon Blonde does have a tiny micro chip out of each side of her nose, but the nose tip is all there. The Ash Blonde has a small "indent" mark on her left cheek, not a scratch, but possibly a small depression from the molding process.
Both of those flaws don't show up at normal viewing distances. Two of the bubbles have gotten a little refreshing on their make-up with water-based acrylic paint, but most of their original make-up is there. All of the retouching was done with water based acrylic paint, and is removable if you don't like it. Their bodies are all in Near Mint condition, and they will be great models for your vintage Barbie fashions! If you have a question that I don't address in the description, please ask me. 1963 Lemon Blonde Bubblecut: She has the wider American Girl face mold with loads of swoopy light Lemon Blonde hair! She is really is quite stunning. Her brows were a little faded, so they were color-washed. Her lips had slight rubbing, so they were retouched a watermelon coral color, and they look very sensuous now! Her smokey eyeshadow is all original. As mentioned above, she has a tiny micro-chip out of the right side of her nose, see pic #3. The left side of her nose has a slightly bigger scratch, see pic #4. The nose tip is intact, and these little injuries aren't noticeable unless you are looking at them from less than 6 away. I didn't notice these little injuries until I had the doll for quite a while. No extra earring holes, no green ears or neck tears. Barbie has the later marked Midge1962/Barbie 1958 body in Excellent condition, with all of her coral nail polish.
She doesn't have any stains, and her back is very scratch-free. Her limbs are nice and tight. 1963 Fudge Brunnette Bubblecut: This dark beauty is a little bit pouty, very chic, and maybe a little bit French? She has the chubbier face of the later version bubbles, and her make-up is all original. She has full coral lips, and her brows are all there. The brow on the right (right in the pic) is just a little lighter than the left brow, but it is all there. No extra earring holes or green ear stains, and no nose nips.
She has a smaller, smooth bubble of fudge brunette hair. I looked at her very closely, and I did discover that she has maybe 2 or 3 trimmed hair plugs underneath her long bangs on the right side of her forehead (on the left in the pic). The original owner thought the bangs were a little messy, and gave her a little trim. It doesn't really show because the long bangs hang over the trimmed plugs.
She has a lot of bangs, so she doesn't look like she's missing anything! Her body is in Excellent shape and has the later Midge1962/Barbie 1958 marking. She has all of her coral nail polish, and her limbs are not swingy. She does have a 1/2 long scratch under her left shoulder blade. She has 5 faint tap marks on the top of her left foot, but a shoe strap will cover at least a couple of them. No stains or finger chews. 1963 Ash Blonde Bubblecut: This gal has a very cute, bubble with side-swept bangs! Her ash blonde hair is a warm bronzey blonde color, and she looks quite pert and sassy. Since she is a later version bubble, she also has the wider face mold with chubby cheeks.
Her lips had faded to nude, so they were retouched their original coral color. Her brows are all original, and are all there.
She was given a little blush, which looks good with her coloring. She has an extra earring hole at her right ear, and 2 extra earring holes at her left ear, but no green ear stains. As mentioned above, she has a tiny depression in her left cheek; it is 1/16 long, and doesn't seem to be a scratch. Either it's from the molding process, or she leaned against something hard for many years.
It's not very noticeable at a normal viewing distance. No neck tears or nose nips. Her Midge1962/Barbie1958 marked body is in Excellent+ condition. She has all of her nail polish, her limbs are tight, and she doesn't have any stains. Her torso has few scratches or play wear. Her 4th and 5th finger on her right hand have a couple faint line marks on them, but the fingers are all there. These pretty girls will spice up your vintage Barbie display!
