Vintage Platinum Swirl Barbie Mint in Box MIB Head Cello
Vintage Platinum Swirl Barbie doll Mint in Box with all original goodies and rare head cello. Everything is original except the liner, which is a modern replacement. I removed the head cello for the photos. I will leave it off so the new owner can inspect the doll properly or display her as desired. I dont like to take it on and off as to avoid damaging the original hair set, which includes original knot and ribbon.
Doll has a touch of green on one ear that is completely covered with repro earrings. The other side is almost covered by repro earrings. I make my own and use smaller than average pearls. Some repros may cover more, depending on what you use. I'm currently out at the moment.
Ive had this doll for many years and the green has NOT spread since I've had her. Hair has extremely minimal oxidation and is still very light and shiny. There are some fly aways but set is tight. There is slight powdery feel to the doll, I believe from the factory as ahe was clearly never played with. There is a little powdery residue around the face as well.
Doll has been stored for years out of light in a covered doll box. The faces on platinum swirls are pretty much always a little darker than the bodies, but this one is not severe, although there is the typical slightly darker face. Nice polish on feet and fingers. Box has no tape or split corners. Firm box, however some light foxing like discoloration on the lid, see pics. Box is not mint but in excellent shape and displays well. All face paint is original and has been alcohol tested. Ive described the items as best i can. All photos taken in natural indirect light without any photo touch ups or enhancements.The lighting can change color tones so ive taken photos in different areas to try and relay accuracy. Im happy to answer any questions.
